Legadels Strengths

  • Identifies and manages special educational needs quickly and avoids being caught up in bureaucracy. The prime focus is on providing the required assistance to impact on the child’s achievement levels within the classroom
  • As a school based programme, the SENCo at participating schools will be able to liaise frequently with Legadel staff ensuring an increased level of accountability
  • There will be multi-professional meetings regularly scheduled. This ensures that the child’s educational needs are being addressed and are under constant review
  • Legadel’s training and support of Key Workers (who observe the professionals and implement their strategies) reduces the cost to parents and creates a wider base of available assistance
  • Parents are not required to ferry their children to and from sessions, as all the input will be provided on the schools premises
  • A single and cohesive intervention plan will address both the Kodesh (Jewish Studies) and Chol (National Curriculum Studies) requirements of the child
  • We are focussed on removing the stigma of additional support
  • We adopt an early intervention programme allowing us to facilitate positive changes before children start to lag behind
  • Strong collaboration between schools and parents means that we can easily identify the required level of support for the child
  • We have built a strong reputation in the community and are recognised and supported by the Barnet Area Committee
